Wrightsville Train Depot

The Wrightsville Train Depot sits along the “Wiggle & Twist” Railroad, the affectionate nickname given to the Wrightsville and Tennille Railroads. Follow Main Street Wrightsville as they announce the opening of the Wiggle & Twist Museum soon, and make plans to attend their Wiggle & Twist festival in October.

Treutlen County

Not only can you eat some awesome BBQ when visiting Soperton, but you can snap a photo in front of the mural that is home to Boneyard BBQ! We recommend trying their cheesy, loaded BBQ spud. Their special of the day is also a favorite among the locals!

Toombs County

Toombs County is full of picturesque spots to strike a pose. Visit the location of the legendary Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby, see a movie at the beautiful and historic PAL Theatre in Downtown Vidalia, or enjoy a delicious meal at the most unique restaurant hidden in the trees… literally!

The Southeast Soap Box Derby is located in Lyons, Georgia, and is located near Partin Park. The Soap Box Derby® is an international nonprofit organization whose mission is to build knowledge and character, and to create meaningful experiences through collaboration and fair and honest competition.

The PAL Theatre Facebook

The PAL Theatre is located in beautiful downtown Vidalia. Not only can you enjoy a movie with a delicious, buttery popcorn in this historic setting, but you can also rent out the PAL for all of the best celebrations for any occasion. It is decorated beautifully throughout with decor that is both trendy, yet also nods to its original roots downtown.

This cool little dive bar is nestled in the trees making it the coolest hangout in the area. It’s truly a space where the atmosphere is great and the food is even better! We recommend grabbing a Shrimp PoBoy sandwich and a basket of Vidalia Onion petals!

Downtown Vidalia has so many photo-ops! Take a sweet, summery selfie in front of the “Be Sweet” mural downtown, or find the Onion fountain behind City Hall. See how many Onion images, murals, or references you can find in Vidalia and tag us with hashtag #TraditionsHighwaySummer!

Appling County

While Downtown Baxley has many places for you to shop and dine, this bright downtown mural is what everyone loves to see when visiting! It’s located just as you drive into town across from the Appling County Courthouse.

Charlton County

At the southernmost point on Traditions Highway lies the neatest oasis waiting to be discovered. The whole family will enjoy a trip a Charlton, where there is something for everyone! The train enthusiast can marvel at the train museum or Folkston Funnel and the wildlife adventurer will love a tour deep into the dark waters of the Okefenokee Swamp. Combine these two fun attractions with the a cute downtown ready for dining and shopping, it’s a family photo-op spot to record the best memories!
